We had such a beautiful time shooting Lisa and Ted’s wedding at the University Club in San Francisco. It was a gorgeous, sunny autumn day which perfectly complimented the sunflower floral arrangements and décor that matched Lisa’s sunflower corsage and Ted’s sunflower boutonniere. I am obsessed with the vintage city aesthetic they chose which you can feast your eyes on here in Lisa & Ted’s university club wedding photos.
Style:
Lisa got ready in The University Club’s vintage library room. She wore a traditional white, dress with delicate, detailed embroidery at the top with a fairytale silk and lace train that gracefully trailed behind her. Her flawless makeup and simple, classic up-do couldn’t have paired more perfectly with the vintage aesthetic.
First Look:
The couple had their first look on a balcony overlooking the San Francisco skyline. Capturing their genuine expressions of excitement for their big day as they laid eyes on each other for the first time was such a pleasure. Lisa couldn’t hold back her tears as she walked down the aisle beside her father. The ceremony was truly touching and a photographers dream as the décor was so lovely.
Ceremony & Reception:
My favorite photos were the portraits taken after the ceremony by the fireplace decorated with countless sunflowers. You can tell by the look on their glowing faces how overjoyed they are to finally be wedded. Lisa changed out of her western dress and into her traditional, red, Chinese tea ceremony dress with golden butterfly hair clips.
After dinner the couple gathered around their cake which was completely made of delicious, stacked donuts! They didn’t even cut it, as they just lifted up the humongous donut and both took a giant bite on each side! The reception was so full of celebration and dancing. I loved shooting this wedding. It was truly a pleasure being apart of Lisa and Ted’s big day.
