From the couple:
We met through a common friend on New Year’s of 2011. We felt a special connection between us right away. It’s amazing how we just “clicked” and started dating. We got engaged on our 6th year dating anniversary.
Levin wanted something simple and elegant for the engagement ring. And as for my wedding band, I picked something simple that would match my engagement ring. Levin wanted a simple wedding band.
Wedding Theme:
I love the color pink. So after looking on Pinterest, I’ve fell in love with blush/light pink and gold motif. I think that blush is very feminine, romantic and perfect for a wedding. When you mix blush with gold, I think it makes the theme classy and elegant.
Wedding Style:
While planning for my wedding, I wanted the bridesmaids dress to be blush/light pink and the groomsmen’s necktie to be blush also. I also picked blush and gold sequined dresses for my flower girls. And we decided to have the ringbearers wear blush bowtie. I also made sure to use blush/light pink roses and peonies for the bouquets and centerpieces. And I found the perfect rose gold Manolo Blahnik shoes which made me feel like a princess.
For my dress, I’ve always wanted a dress with lace and something on the conservative side but elegant. I chose an A line dress because it suits my body type. To go with my dress I chose a rose gold belt and a long veil with lace that matches my dress. I didn’t wear any bracelet or necklace, just a simple Swarovski earring that my MOH gifted me before the wedding day.
My bridesmaids picked their dress style but I made sure that they stick with blush or light pink color. Levin wanted to wear navy blue suit and the groomsmen wear darker blue suits to make Levin stand out from them.
Wedding Florals:
I wanted roses and peonies. So My florist helped me picked light pink roses and peonies. The bridesmaid bouquets had roses and peonies also but came in smaller size compared to mine. As the boutonnieres, I picked roses for the groomsmen. We used florals and drapery on the ceremony arch. We also had aisle flowers that matched the flowers on the ceremony arch.
Ceremony:
We included Filipino wedding traditions. We included special symbols such as the veil, cord, and cords during the ceremony. I chose Runaway by The Corrs as my processional song. It gives me butterflies in my stomach every time I hear it. Then I chose “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles as the recessional song. It’s a happy and upbeat song that is perfect to celebrate love.
Reception:
The ceremony and reception are in the same location. I love it because it’s outdoors and the location overall is lovely and elegant. I’ve always wanted a garden wedding. I made sure to stick with blush and gold when it comes to decorations. I requested gold vases for my centerpieces. The table linens are vanilla bean colored and I matched it with blush napkins. We ordered heart shaped cookie with blush colored icings as our wedding favors.
We also had a photobooth and had our guests post their photobooth pictures and write a message for us on the photobook.
