Amy & Anmol’s Vintners Inn Wedding Photography
Here is a photographer curated collection of photos from Amy and Anmol’s Vintners Inn wedding photography. It was such a beautiful day! We so happy we were able to be there for this lovely couple on their big day.
“Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.”

Venue: Vintners Inn
From the couple:
We have known each other a long time and have been together for an entire decade now! Coincidentally, we lived just one floor apart in the dorms freshman year of college. We love being outdoors, hiking, backpacking, going to the beach, etc so it was fitting we got engaged on a gorgeous hike.
Wedding Rings:
Amy’s engagement ring was designed by Anmol (with a little help from Amy) and made locally in California. We made our wedding bands at a ring workshop in San Francisco with Adam Clark at DIY Wedding Bands. It was a great experience – fun, but a lot of work. It feels extra special knowing the other person put so much effort and care into a symbol we wear daily.
Venue & Theme:
When we were looking for a venue, our top priority was to have a naturally beautiful space with an outdoor ceremony location. Upon our first stroll around Vintners Inn, we knew had found an amazing location. We wanted a fairly simple theme, and focused on natural beauty and greenery for inspiration. It was difficult to decide on a personal look for the wedding.
Wedding Style:
We wanted to incorporate different aspects of our cultures into the day, so we chose to wear traditional Indian clothing for the ceremony and traditional American clothing for the reception. For the ceremony, Amy wore a red, white, and gold lehenga with matching bangles, necklace, and maang tikka, along with custom gold, red, and white earrings from her mom; Anmol wore a regal red sherwani and safa.
For the reception, Amy wore a sheath floral lace dress and ditched most of the jewelry for a more simple look; Anmol wore a grey-blue suit with warm brown accessories and topped it off with a wooden tie clip. The two looks were very different, but both perfect for the occasion.
The bridesmaids wore teal and gold saris and the groomsmen wore their own suits with added matching red and gold stoles.
Wedding Florals:
We chose not to have bouquets or boutonnieres. As part of the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom exchange flower garlands, so we had lovely smelling red and white garlands around our necks for the ceremony. For the reception, we wanted the centerpieces to be living arrangements rather than cut flowers, so we did potted succulents with plants in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. We couldn’t ditch flowers entirely, so we did have small bud vases with flowers as well. The bridal party put these together the day before the wedding and they turned out so beautiful!
Ceremony:
We had a traditional Hindu ceremony that took place outside under the ceremony pavilion in front of greenery with acres of vineyard behind. The only thing we added to the ceremony space was a chandelier; we never would have guessed we would want one, but we saw it at another wedding at our venue and just loved how it dressed up the space without detracting from the natural beauty.
Dances:
Anmol had a baraat where his family and friends gathered to dance and enter together. After dancing to several songs, they entered to Panjabi MC’s Mundian to Bach Ke. Amy entered the ceremony with her bridesmaids to a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud by Luciana Zogbi. We think Ed Sheeran is totally overplayed at weddings, but for a good reason – his songs totally resonate with couples and the gushy feelings around marriage. Amy didn’t want to come in to a march, and wanted something sung by a woman; Zogbi’s cover sounded perfect. At the end of the ceremony, guests threw rose petals as a blessing as we walked away to Beyonce’s Love on Top.
Reception:
We had a fun and relaxing cocktail hour outside on the terrace with lawn games and patio furniture for lounging, then moved inside to the ballroom for dinner. Dinner was so delicious! We wanted to do a fusion menu, and John Ash & Co totally delivered. They came up with an Indian-Wine Country fusion that was the perfect combination of fresh, local ingredients and Indian spices and dishes. If we weren’t so busy, we would have asked for seconds and thirds (seriously).
Our first dance was to Common’s The Light, and we added an extra section to the beginning from Bobby Caldwell’s Open Your Eyes, which is the song sampled for The Light. It was a wonderful first dance with some traditional slow sections and fun hip hop sections as well. Anmol pulled off a great dip at the end!
Desserts:
Our desserts were also super tasty. We had a small cake for the ceremonial cutting, but went with a variety of Asian-fusion baonuts (sweet bao doughnuts) and cupcakes from East Wind Bakery, who worked with us on custom flavors. Highlights were the mango lassi baonut with cardamom frosting and the ube baonut with guava frosting.
Advice:
We heard this all the time before the wedding, but the wedding day really does go by fast. Add extra time to the beginning of the day to relax, definitely do a first look if you don’t mind seeing your partner before the ceremony, and add time to the schedule for the evening to have a few moments to break away from the party to enjoy a second together alone.
We also totally loved our day-of coordinator and would absolutely recommend hiring one to any couple. The day-of coordinator was required by our venue. But she ended up being invaluable to get things done, solve problems, and keep the schedule moving. Finally, planning any wedding takes a lot of compromise and time, but I think a fusion wedding takes even more compromise and a lot of extra time to sort out what is most important. Give yourself the time to work through things with your partner and have clear communication with your families.
