From the couple:
We met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. Jeremy proposed when we were on vacation in Iceland and it was a total surprise. The wedding bands match our individual style. We wanted something classic but modern that would match the wedding venue. We had help from the florist and Wedding Coordinator in carrying out our theme.
Wedding Styles:
I tried on many dresses and Jeremy tried on many suits. We went with our intuition and picked what we felt the most comfortable in. My bridesmaids were easy going and we ordered the dresses online. The groomsmen were also easy going and we picked out and bought their suits.
Florals & Décor:
I choose the colors and which flowers not to use, then the florists did the rest! She did a wonderful job! We decorated the ceremony area with the bouquets made by our florist. There is also a ceremony arch with a large bouquet. The backdrop is a pond surrounded by a mixture of planted as well as wild flowers.
Ceremony:
We grew up with different religious backgrounds (Buddhist and Catholic). We wanted to incorporate each of our backgrounds for our ceremony. Our reverend recited a Buddhist poem we picked out. We also included a cord and veil ceremony, which is typically seen in Filipino catholic weddings.
Reception:
Our reception took place at the same venue. The dinner was in a volcanic cave, which was previously used for to store wine. The wine cave felt magical! Our tables were decorated by candelabras with flowers. We also had wine glass favors (inside a gold bag) for each place setting. We decided not to do a photobooth. Instead, we had a Polaroid camera. Our guests took pictures and pinned it on a “Insta-Graham” wall. Our first dance is a rendition of “All My Life” sang by Kina Granis. Pick the vendors you feel most comfortable with. This will ease a lot of worry on your part! Enjoy your wedding because it goes by fast!
