Here is a photographer curated collection of photos from Arianna and Grady’s Golden Gate Club wedding. It was such an amazing day and we were so happy we were able to be there for this lovely couple on their big day!

From the couple:
We wanted our wedding to incorporate a lot of San Francisco elements, since many of our guests were visiting the Bay Area for the first time. We also wanted our ceremony and the event itself to really capture who we are as a couple, and involve significant people in our lives. The ceremony was outside, officiated by my aunt, and my brother played the music. We wrote our own vows, and my aunt did a great job of incorporating personal elements into the service. For the reception, we had a taco bar and gave Ghirardelli chocolates as favors.
Ceremony:
In general, we are more laidback, so we wanted a gorgeous wedding but one that was not over the top. And most importantly had an awesome band! My family loves to dance, and we repeatedly got comments from guests that this was the most “grown-ups” they had ever seen on the dance floor at a wedding.
We went with greenery and white flowers, including garland centerpieces for the reception. Our florist did an amazing job of making my “Pinterest vision” come to life. She also included eucalyptus in the ceremony florals, which ended up working out perfectly since our ceremony was in a eucalyptus grove. We incorporated a lot of personal elements in our ceremony, with having a close family friend officiate and my brother playing the music, and a close friend doing a reading. We also wrote our own vows. Our favorite part was definitely the band! They were amazing, and had everyone out on the dance floor.
Wedding Style:
We went pretty classic – long white dress + tux. I found my dress at BHLDN almost a year before and fell in love. Made of ivory satin, it looked classic and simple in the front, but was “party in the back” with a plunging mesh back. And it twirled great when dancing! My bridesmaids all wore long, slate gray dresses – they picked their own styles. Grady and his groomsmen wore tuxes.
How We Met:
We met at a bar in Atlanta, when we both lived there out of college. Only a few weeks later he moved to New York for a job and we thought that might be the end of it…but five years later here we are! He proposed when we were staying with my parents in the Bay Area around Christmas. We had just gone for a walk down Christmas Tree Lane, a local street that goes all out with Christmas decorations, and he popped the question after, outside of my parents’ house.
Highlights & Advice:
Seeing each other during the ceremony! We opted not to do a first look, so that was really special. It’s too easy to get stressed out over things your guests probably won’t notice.
