From the couple:
We swiped right! A Tinder Success story that started in May 2014. We officially started dating in October 2014 and got engaged in May 2017. Sam proposed in El Nido, Big Lagoon, in the Philippines on a private island tour. Our backdrop lush with tropical greenery and teal/clear water. The ring is a round cut sitting on 4 prongs with a studded band.
Theme:
We felt the colors were elegant and sweet, which describes us as individuals and as a couple. The venue was a mixture of rustic but classy, which also aligns with our style. The Palm Event Center Wedding Photography was just what we were after.
Style:
Sam wore a custom made suit down to the color of the threading. He loves the blue hue of this suit in combination with the brown shoes. I went with the Kinsley dress designed by Angel River and Kinsley James Couture. The dress expressed my body well and it exuded a timeless look, both whimsical and elegant to match with our theme.
Florist:
We wanted seasonal blooms and our Florist, Lana from Dream Flowers, coordinated and designed each setting. Our Florist and Venue all worked together in decorating our indoor/outdoor setting. We love the Palm Event Center wedding photography.
Traditions:
One of the traditions we carried was the Money Dance which is often done at Filipino weddings. This is to wish the couple good luck in their marriage and provides a one-on-one time with the bride and groom. This was one of our favorite moments as we were able to greet and say thank you to our guests.
Décor:
Our table names consisted of street signs of streets significant to our lives. For example, the street name I grew on, our first date, where he proposed, etc. Our signature cocktail was the Samhattan (Manhattan) and a Romatini (Mango Martini). Our favorite drinks! First dance song is “Cruisin'” by Smokey Robinson.
