From the couple:
We met at school and we both had the same class together. We started dating a month and a half later. I got engaged at Disneyland. It was near the front of the castle and we were taking pictures. Then he started talking about how much he loved me and then he started getting down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The ring he got me had a vintage look and it had a lot of intricate work around the band. It was very beautiful. The wedding band had small diamonds around the band and it was simple to make my engagement ring stand out more.
Wedding Theme:
Our theme was a rustic and romantic feel. I chose it because I wanted to give a timeless feel with a sense of elegance – this came through perfectly in our wedding photos at Murrieta’s Well. Also, wanted it to be simple yet beautiful.
Wedding Styles:
My dress was lace. It had a low back and pearls on the back. The front also had pearls and had a pattern lace train. The underlay was a nude/pink tone. I had a long veil with lace towards the end. It was perfect for photos in the vineyard during our wedding photos at Murrieta’s Well. Bridesmaids dress were blush pink on silk.
The Groom wore a light blue suit with a grey undertone with a blush pink tie and light brown shoes with our theme color socks. His groomsmen wore a grey suit with a blush pink tie and light brown shoes with theme color socks.
Florals:
I let my florist recommend on what matches and looks good and went with it. There was no sentimental significance to it. Tea roses and eucalyptus.
Venue & Ceremony:
It was rustic and elegant. There were wine barrels within the barn and there was wood all around that gave the rustic feel. We had a guitarist to play at the processional and I told him to play any songs he would like but when I walk down the aisle, I want “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. For the recessional, we played “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars.
Reception:
The reception was in Livermore, CA and we chose this location because it was what I was looking for. We love our wedding photos at Murrieta’s Well. It had that rustic look and feel I envisioned for. I decorated it with lanterns and with a lot of greenery on the tables and decorative candles to compliment. There wasn’t any signature cocktails but there was great choices of wine. The first dance song was “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” by Hailey Reinhart.
