From the couple:
We met on OKCupid after almost giving up online dating. From the first date Matheas knew how amazingly special Kirstin was. We returned to the same place that we first met 5 years later and Matheas proposed on one knee in front of all our closest family and friends.
Theme:
We loved the raw natural, rustic beauty of the church and felt it only needed flowers to complete the wedding day vision. We carried over the same subtle accentuation of the existing spaces in our Hotel and Reception venues, allowing the true essence of these locations to shine through and provide a rich visual backdrop.
Wedding Styles:
Kirstin chose her dress at the very first shop she looked at and knew it was the one because once it was on, she didn’t want to take it off. The lace on the dress was a reminder of her mom’s wedding dress. She completed the look with electric blue shoes and borrowed Victorian era earrings. The groomsmen ties were ordered to perfectly match the grape bridesmaid dresses and paired with a subtle yet refined gray three piece suit. Matheas chose a black tux with ornate paisley pocket square.
Wedding Florals
Purple was used as the main bridal bouquet color to accentuate the purple of the bridesmaid dresses. Cream and blush flower colors were used for the bridesmaid bouquets. All flowers were requested to appear freshly hand picked to keep with the rustic and natural aesthetic. The groomsmen boutonnieres were succulents with the groom having an additional white rose. We let the ceremony space speak for itself with only minimal floral accents added to enhance its natural beauty.
Ceremony & Reception:
Our ceremony was a blend of traditional phrase with a modern twist. Our processional song was “In My Life” by the Beatles and our recessional song was “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. We loved the Swedenborgian Church Wedding Photos. Urban Putt provided the perfect location for an engaging and fun atmosphere for both adults and children attending the reception. Our signature drinks (Tropi-Kikay and Math-ito) accompanied deliciously creative appetizers and elevated entrees. Our first dance song was “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” by Frankie Valli. The photo booth with our customized logo was providing amazing laughs and snapshots all night.
