Michelle & Carl’s Pleasanton Valley Wedding

We met nearly 5 years ago on a chance encounter. Neither one of us was supposed to be where we were that night, but I guess fate knew what it was doing.

The connection was instant and the sparks were real, and soon, we were inseparable! We dated, bought a house together and 3 years into the relationship, Carl asked both my Dads for my hand.

On my 30th birthday, we were gathered with friends and family as he got down on one knee in front of an ocean view and asked me to be his wife.

He loves adventure. She loves to entertain.

And they surely love each other. We are so excited to share our special day with you all.

I went with romantic glam. I love the color pink and my husband loves anything gold.

You can’t go wrong with those two colors when you’re talking romance and elegance.

I knew I wanted a fitted dress that still made a statement.

My first dress was something I just fell in love as soon as I tried it on.

“Also, sneak away with your spouse as many times as you can just to have a moment to yourselves and remember what this day is really about… your love for one another. “

Most couples reserve their date in our calendars 12+ months prior to their wedding day.

My Moms picked it out for me and I just knew it was the one I had to marry Carl in. (They know me well.) I also knew I wanted a princess dress and one to dance the night away in. My dress designers at THEDRESSIWANT.COM did an amazing job of making me the perfect custom dress that I wore for the second half of the wedding and throughout the rest of the night. Carl and I wanted the wedding party to look classic and chic. The rose gold dresses on the bridesmaids were EVERYTHING, and the groomsmen looked dapper and bold in their tuxes.

Rustic and romantic was what I was going for. Roses, hydrangeas and dusty miller accents achieved this look. To amp up the glam, I had our florist add the rhinestone brooches.

The Estate barrel room was the most romantic place to get married. I loved how cozy the ceremony was with the candles on the barrels, the rose petals along the aisle and our closest friends and family witnessing our commitment to each other. Processional songs: “Train – Marry Me” & “A Thousand Years – Christina Perry” // Recessional song: “Bruno Mars – Marry You”

The Palm Event Center was my dream venue. I always imagined getting married in a winery. Our centerpieces were DIYed Manzanita Branches that we painted gold and added Crystals to. Our florist created a beautiful foundation of flowers with tea lights and crystals in 2 feet hurricanes. We wanted to incorporate the winery feel with cork screw name card holders and mini wine bottle giveaways. My best friend calligraphied all the signs around the venue adding a meaningful touch. Our menu was family style!! Who doesn’t like eating as much as you want sharing plates as FAMILY? Our first dance was sang by our good friend and American Idol alum, Andrew Garcia. “Say You Won’t Let Go”. Of course we couldn’t end the night without a surprise performance for my hubby with the help of my girls, Erin Paula and Erika David.

Please take a moment to look at the venue before everyone gets in there. All the hard work you’ve done needs a moment of taking it all in. Also, sneak away with your spouse as many times as you can just to have a moment to yourselves and remember what this day is really about… your love for one another. I would say, don’t stress if things don’t go perfectly on your wedding day. A few things didn’t go according to plan on our wedding day, but our guests had no idea and only told us how much fun they had. Only YOU know the plans, everyone is just there to shower you with LOVE.
