A photographer from our team will analyze your requests and come up with a plan to achieve a realistic rendition of your story.

Photo Day!

Sessions are typically 1-3 hours long and you can usually photograph at 1 location per hour. The couple is encouraged to change outfits at least once during the shoot.

Post-Production

It takes 30 business days to receive the digital files. You will be able to access the photos immediately once they are ready in a gallery like this.

If you are falling in love with the idea of having collaborating with you and
your fiancé to create your engagement photographs – we would love to connect to see if it is the perfect match.

Your inquiry will be received whole heartedly within 24 hours by our
creative director to pair you to your San Francisco engagement photographer
(and hopefully your wedding photographer!).

For all engagement photography inquiries in the San Francisco Bay Area –
please reserve your date at least 1-3 months prior to the date you are
requesting for the engagement session. Usually this is about 9-12 months
prior to your wedding.

1. Do we receive all of the digital negatives from our engagement session, or just the edited ones?

For your engagement photography package – you will receive a set of edited high resolution photographs in an instant download gallery. The amount of edited photographs you receive will depend on the package you select. For your wedding photography package – you may opt to purchase all of your RAW images on a hard drive with your final package for a nominal fee.


2. Is there a discount for engagement photos if we book wedding photography or videography as well?

Absolutely! A lot of the wedding photography packages specifically have the engagement sessions predesigned & built into them to begin with.


3. Which photographer will photograph our engagement session?

The photographer that is assigned to your engagement photography session (as well as your wedding) will be determined upon availability at the time that you officially lock down the package with a signed agreement & 50% retainer of our services.

You may also indicate your preference prior to booking as well.

Due to the amount of inquiries we receive (up to 100+ per week) — we cannot hold any dates for inquiries only.


4. What type of editing and retouching is included on our engagement photos?

For your engagement photography session – we include a complimentary set of basic retouches to make the photos “pop” the way that they do on our website and on our blogs. This typically includes correcting exposure, color balance, sharpening, and noise cancellation.  More advanced retouching can be purchased to remove blemishes, bags on your under eyes, or altering your body or image in any other way.


5. How long does it take to receive the engagement photos?

After your engagement photography session – it will take 30 business days for us to select the best photos, edit them, & upload them to an online gallery for you to start your obsession.


6. How many locations can we go to during our session?

During your engagement photography session – we recommend limiting the amount of locations to one location per hour of coverage.  The “trick” to getting multiple locations in only one hour is to choose locations that are walkable, or within a 5 minute car drive of each other.


7. Where are we allowed to have our engagement session?

The engagement photography session that comes included in our packages is a local engagement around San Francisco. If you would like to have your engagement session somewhere else in the Bay Area, there will be an additional charge for traveling to that location.


8. We are not models & we have no idea what to do – can you make recommendations?

Definitely.  After many years of photographing engagements around the Bay Area we have tons of recommendations for couples who just simply have no idea! A part of your engagement photography package will contain a creative consultation with your photographer where you can hash out all of the stylistic & logistic questions you might have.

During the actual session itself- your photographer will guide you into poses that feel natural, organic, & comfortable.


9. What should we wear?

Ultimately this choice is up to you. However, we recommend coming with at least two sets of outfits to your engagement photography session. One should be more formal (think bowties, blazers, little black dress, high heels, etc.). and one look should be more casual (think jeans, button ups, cute sweaters, etc.).

The best thing for you to do is to create a Pinterest board with some of your favorite engagement photos from around the internet and analyze the wardrobe choices from those photos. Chances are, you’ll also like their outfits!

The general rule is this: DON’T be too “matchey matchey.” When picking your outfits – imagine you are both going to the same parties together – what would you wear?


10. If it foggy – can we reschedule our engagement session?

We will create a backup date for your engagement photos in case it rains, however because of our busy schedules & the unpredictability of fog in San Francisco – we are not able to reschedule due to fog.


11. We are really excited  – how soon can we shoot?!

Download our pricing and figure out which package will be best for you. It might be more beneficial to you to book us for your wedding as well as there is a rebate for doing so. Once you sign the agreement & submit the deposit – we can talk dates and get you and your fiancé in the next possible appointment!
